Taking a closer look at flowers
Today ’s exposure are from Hugh Locke .
As cell - phone photographic camera have become better , I have been using mine to capture close - up mental image of the efflorescence in my garden in Westchester , New York ( Zone 6b ) . My finish has been to focus on point like petals , stamens , and pistil rather than blossom portraits . The folds , shading , and border of a petal become a study in motion . A tiny floweret becomes a peak . A petal becomes a contour function with color markings . None of these exposure have been control or filtered , other than being dress . The last photo is of an indoor industrial plant as a nod to the winter currently being digest until we can get back into the garden .
