Today we ’re off to Berwyn , Pennsylvania ( Zone 6b ) , to claver Carol Verhake ’s gorgeous garden . We ’ve visit Carol ’s garden before ( Carefully pick out color Bring a Garden Together ) , and it is always a beautiful and inspiring sojourn . Every layer is working together here in Carol’swoodland garden . Every fall , beautyberries ( Callicarpa‘Early Amethyst ’ , Zones 5–8 ) show up all over the GPOD — and it is easy to see why ! They ’re a stunning way to wrap up the gardening year .
Dogwoods(Cornusflorida , Zones 5–9 ) are more often than not grown for their showyspring blossom , but do n’t miss their fall color ! These wait all the brighter for a background of white-livered folio .
‘ vary Stellar Pink ’ dogwood tree ( Cornus‘Variegated Stellar Pink ’ , Zones 5–9 ) haspinkflowers in the spring and leaves variegated with lily-white margins during the summertime , but in the drop the white diversification blushes pink for a beautiful send - off .

It is all about the petty details , such as this garden sculpture with theseed headsof a bush clematis ( Clematisintegrifolia , Zones 3–7 ) .

This beautifulrosewas given to Carol when her mother fall out . It is marvellous to see the means the buds , the open blooms , and the aging blooms are all growing together here .

Stewartiapseudocamellia(Zones 5–8 ) is a bush orsmall treewith beautifulbark , showy white blossom in the summer , and great drop color ( as in this exposure ) . It is really beautiful in every season .
