scare a fruit tree

“ That ’s a crazy level about your friend in Puerto Rico , about 10 years ago I get wind a similar news report . I think it ’s an Arabia / Middle East part method , they have this custom where if a tree will not produce fruit , they threaten it . You are hypothecate to go up to the tree diagram with a friend , and talk about how angry you are that the tree diagram will not bring out yield , and how you are pass to cut it down . You add along a knife or some other sharp objective with you , and as you tell your friend that you are pass away to write out the Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree down because it does not give you any fruit , you begin to prod at the Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree . Your friend stops you and says no , do not kill the tree , give it a chance and see if it produces yield this next season before you cut it down . They said if you do this , the tree diagram will always produce a squeamish craw of yield the next season . I actually did this with my friend on a tree that ’s in his yard that was n’t producing , I imagine it actually worked . ”

That story reminds me ofthe parable in Luke 13:6 - 9 .

“ ( Jesus ) also address this parable:“A certain   man   had a fig tree diagram planted in his vineyard , and he came seeking fruit on it and discover none . Then he say to the keeper of his vineyard , ‘ Look , for three years I have come essay fruit on this fig tree and discover none . geld it down ; why does ituse up the ground?’But he answered and articulate to him , ‘ Sir , let it alone this year also , until I hollow around it and fertilise   it . And if it conduct fruit ,   well .   But if not , after that you cancut it down . ’ ”

Here ’s another thought : maybe sometimes we demand some force per unit area or a scourge in our life before we bear fruit .

How hard do things have to get before we produce something good for our Master ?

Just a thought .

As for the trees , I do think there is a certain link between us and the plant world , just as there is between humans and the animals . Though our plants reply on a much slower scale than do our pets and livestock , I do conceive they respond . To handle , to words , to our presence . possibly showing a slight dislike give them a kick in the tail . Or perchance it ’s all nuts .

Still , I like the idea . “ yield , sucka , or I m a gon na cut you ! ” I want it to be true .
