How to Replace a Showerhead

These five steps will make it a smooth transition , whether you ’re simplyswitching showerheadsor getting a new shower branch .

Loosen Up

Out With the Old

Unscrew the showerhead . move out the screw hold the flange in position , then remove the rim . Unscrew the cascade limb using pliers at the base .

If the showerhead is stick , hook the cloth inwhite vinegar , envelop it around the nut on the showerhead , and let it sit for a few minutes to loosen mineral deposits .

Prepare the Arm

Wipe around the golf hole in the paries to remove stain . Next , tightly twine five layers ofplumber ’s tapeclockwise around the end of the shower arm that goes into the paries . It ’s essential to wrap the tape opposite to how the limb will twist into place .

Secure Connection
