While most of North America is enjoying fall foliage, a gardener on the opposite side of the world is enjoying early-blooming roses
Hi GPODers !
After weeks of mainly fall down photos and with lots of us already feeling winter grovel in , we have a refreshing variety of pace today . Lynne Leslie has shared her beautiful garden in Wellington , New Zealand a few time in the past tense ( Lynne ’s Garden in New Zealand , Lynne ’s Garden in New Zealand 2 , andMid - Winter in Lynne ’s New Zealand Garden ) , and we ’re start another update of her arresting peak that signal that summertime is around the corner .
I maybe another post from the other side of the world and with another climate might be of involvement , Lynne Leslie

We have had a very early ‘ first boot ’ of blush wine here in Wellington , New Zealand . Maybe my variety of alimentation docket has something to do with that . I have begin to practice blood & osseous tissue monthly ( with preparative rose food September and again late December as per my usual feeding schedule ) . I prefer to use natural products wherever possible . The strong gales this clock time of year coincide with all the spring flower and play mayhem with roses , Canterbury bells(Campanulamedium , zone 3–9),lupins and poppies .
Shirley poppies . I love growing plants from semen and cuttings . I love the pink poppies and this yr had a gorgeous soft pink double which will hopefully give me seed for next twelvemonth .
Pink lupines(Lupinuspolyphyllus , Zones 3–9)before they were lay waste to by the confidential information .

take down from the editor : New Zealand has a rich story of cultivating rosesafter the works was introduce to the land in the other 1800s . Because of this and hard-and-fast regulation on spell strange plants , most of the cultivars in New Zealand gardens are all different from those we turn in North America . apparently , you wo n’t be able to find US hardiness zone for these New Zealand mixture , so that is why they are omitted from most of the roses below .
Kaiteri Gold mount rose(Rosa‘Kaiteri Gold ’ ) – such a solid rose which stands the malarky quite well .
Green with Envy(R.‘Green with Envy ’ ) – always in blossom and lasts well when peck .

Arrowtown(R.‘Arrowtown ’ ) – another climber . I care to cover fencing where possible .
Glamis Castle ® (R.‘Glamis Castle ’ , Zones 5–10 ) .
New Zealand Gardener(R.‘New Zealand Gardener ’ ) .

Wish Come True(R.‘Wish Come True ’ ) – I win this rose from the cultivator and it is one of my favourites .
A Gardener ’s Dream(R.‘A Gardener ’s Dream ’ )
If I cram in spate if perennials they keep the colour move between roseate florescence . It always amuse me how gardeners always find other gardener to chat to when out walking and socialize . I have many grouping through my garden this time of class and cholecalciferol it is so lovely to partake in it with others . Gardeners are always generous with their cognition and plant and we are always hear from each other . What a terrific sideline .

Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous spring flowers with us , Lynne ! It ’s unbelievable to imagine being surrounded by your roses while await at snow melting outside my window .
