Today ’s photos are from Sarah in Minnesota , who says,“I start with an empty canvass of coarse grit that scramble to raise grass about 6 years ago . Every summertime I take out a new section of my yard by planting the shrubs and stifle the surround grass with cardboard and/or newspaper and covering it with the wood chips I pick up from a local tree trimmer . Hooray for costless wood bit ! I really relish apply the exercise of permaculture and edible landscape gardening . On my little .25 - Akka lot I grow two Malus pumila tree , an Asiatic pear , blueberry , honey - Charles Edward Berry , raspberry , aronia berry , serviceberries , grapes , and Nanjing cherry red mix in with the ornamental . While our acquire season is brusque in primal Minnesota , I enjoy the structure that landscape gardening contribute in the winter , in accession to the ever increasing amounts of wildlife to watch as I sip a cup of daybreak coffee!“Wow , Sarah , that was a severely vacuous slate , and you ’ve transformed it beautifully !
