Hi GPOD ,
Here ’s an assortment of picture from my fall garden .
I live in Canada ’s Okanagan Valley where hot , dry summer and cold-blooded wintertime are the average . During the spring , the garden is sate with the more quiet colours of unfurling leaf , bulbs and ephemeral , while in the summer the many perennials carry the garden ’s colours into blues , bright pinks and sunny oranges . But it is the nightfall when the tree and shrubs take over the show and fill the garden with the gorgeous gross tones of their leafage reverse color .

give thanks you , Wendy Newman
Of course , as Wendy credit , leaf color sovereignty supreme during the fall months . However , she also has some splendid blooms that provide more color and contrasting forms . This huge planting of guara creates a beautiful mist of pinkish and white blooms .
I dead adore the layers of stake that Wendy make in her bed , and enchant so beautifully in her exposure . The eye can so easy glide from low - growing plant to grandiloquent trees and shrub .

Another arresting view full of glowing fall works . Huge‘Honorine Jobert ’ Japanese anemones(Anemonexhybrida‘Honorine Jobert ’ , Zones 4–8 ) absolutely shine with endless white blooms .
Another seam that epitomizes Wendy ’s sentiments about the power of trees and shrubs during drop . The pretty imperial / pink flower are lovely in the front of the bottom , but the various bush and small trees are clearly the tangible stars . This picture also gives a heavy little glimpse of the prominent Okanagan Valley landscape painting that surrounds Wendy ’s property .
A private pergola is made even more lovely with the colorful foliage that surrounds . This has to be an absolutely incredible spot to host a summertime dinner party or love a meek fall afternoon .

The sentiment from the other end of the path we see above , reveal more of the arresting landscape that surrounds Wendy ’s unbelievable garden .
While trees and shrubs are stars in fall gardens , the right perennials and grasses manifestly do their part . Lavender is providing heap of interest with its cool , blue - green foliage and faded flowers . A shining red ornamental skunk — maybe ‘ Shenandoah ’ permutation green goddess ( Panicumvirgatum‘Shenandoah ’ , Zones 4–9)?)—is a gorgeous contrast .
Wendy ’s property is truly picturesque . From her unbelievable plantings full of color and texture to the arresting structures . I also get it on the repetition of loss that can be find throughout the garden and in all of her photos .

More former - time of year flower place on a gorgeous display in Wendy ’s garden under a large spruce . Black - eyed Susan ( Anemonexhybrida‘Honorine Jobert ’ , Zones 4–8 ) and white alyssum never get old .
give thanks you for sharing your garden with us again , Wendy ! It was dead worth the wait to see how much your outer space has evolved and how amazing it count at the end of the season . But I hope we do n’t have to wait as long for the next update !
