Winter Lights at Anglesey Abbey
We always enjoy a visit to the wintertime garden at Anglesey Abbey .
This year we went a bit early because we had tickets for their Winter Lights event . Several National Trust properties are hold these now and it bring a whole newfangled , rather magical element to the garden .
The colours in the winter garden were heighten . TheCornus alba‘Baton Rouge ’ looked very crimson indeed .

Prunus serrula
The berry ofCallicarpa boudinerisparkled like regal amethysts . The gorgeous lustrous brownish bark ofPrunus serrulalooked shinier than ever .
Prunus serrula
You could have it in purple too with the ghostly white bramble , Rubus thibetanusin front .

Prunus serrula
The distorted hazelCorylus avellana‘Contorta ’ looked like Medusa ’s promontory .
I have sex the agency the sensationalistic dogwood tree , Cornus stolonifera ‘ Flaviramea’gleamed and a few stem turn turn white . On the left the yellow flowers ofMahonia‘Charity ’ turned a ghostly livid too .
You would think that the famous birch grove could n’t be improved upon and change the colours of the gleaming white stems would be like dyeing flower . But everyone stand transfixed watch the ever - changing kaleidoscope of colours .

The grandiloquent poplar tree along the canal kept change color too .
genus Allium seedheads were implant amongst white birch offset .
A dreamlike skin senses was the snowy umbrella in the rosaceous garden . The snowdrop garden at Anglesey Abbey is famous and we had a little foretaste of the pleasure to come . I am looking forward to going back to the wintertime garden in January and February and seeing all the winter flowers in daylight and even better reek them ; so many wintertime efflorescence are fragrant . But on a dreary evening at the death of November it was fun to see it look as if by magic different . And a bit surrealistic .

I care the backlit bloodless umbrella and that gorgeous Prunus well .
Stunning path to highlight the natural beauty of the garden . Here they mostly wrap , drape , throw strings of midget light on everything , making the lights themselves the focus . In your images , the plants , enhanced by non-white ignitor , are the star of the show . have it off it !
